It is used to kill and inhibit the growth of microbial organisms, including the algae, fungi and bacteria, slime-forming bacteria and sulfate-reducing bacteria. It is widely used as biocides & preservatives for cosmetics & household, coatings, paints, resin emulsions, oil water emulsions, starch solution and oil field injection water. Antioxidant 1024 is a metal deactivator and primary (phenolic) antioxidant. It is used in polyethylene wire, cable resins, styrene homo and copolymers.
